Singapore Youth Science Fair 2021

Started in 2014, SYSF is designed to promote Science education, and attract mass participation of students at the Upper Primary and Lower Secondary levels. This celebration of Science learning is sponsored by Abbott Laboratories, and co-organised by the Science Teachers Association of Singapore and Science Centre Singapore.

The objectives of the Singapore Youth Science Fair are to:
i. promote scientific study through investigative-type projects in Science
ii. encourage the use of creative and innovative methods in problem solving
iii. heighten students’ awareness and generate their interest in Science research and technology development

The theme for the 2021 Singapore Youth Science Fair is: Responsible Advocacy through Science. 

The categories for this year’s Science Fair are
(a) Engineering Sciences,
(b) Information Technology,
(c) Life Sciences,
(d) Environment and
(e) New Endeavours.

SST is represented by the following 3 teams of 9 students and the results are as follows:
