The 2024 Opportunity-X Science Fair is organised by Opportunity-X, a student-initiated organisation that aims to bring science research opportunities to underrepresented groups in society. They attempt to do this by sharing their knowledge of Science Research with middle school students in their community. With an increased exposure and experience in research, students can develop a passion and take their careers in a direction they never imagined. The Opportunity-X Science Fair aims to give students an opportunity to explore their passions and gain critical research skills through this challenge. Scientists who are experts in their fields will judge the Science Exploration Challenge submissions.
Participants carried out a research and film a 3-5 minutes video to explain their Science Projects. To celebrate their various areas of excellence in the students efforts, besides the Top 3 places, there are also awards given to Creativity, Presentation and Scientific thought.
SST is represented by 30 teams of 82 students, of which 6 teams won medals of 1 Gold, 2 Silvers, and 3 Bronzes.

Bronze Medal: Chong Ka Hyun Gwenda, Ramya Thanigai Arasu, Sow Kai Xian Lucas (S2-08)
