It is a rare and valuable platform for brilliant scientists like Nobel Laureates and Fields Medal winners to interact and share ideas with young budding science and mathematics talents. The following are its key objectives:
(a) Inspire Passion for Science Research amongst Youth
(b) Establish co-operation and Friendship amongst Young Science Talents
(c) Build Capacities of Science Educators
(d) Raise Singapore’s Profile as an International Hub for Science Education and Research

During the five days, students and teachers attended the following:
  1. Social Programme
  2. Cultural exchange activities
  3. Excursions to Research Institutions
  4. Interaction with Nobel Laureates and Eminent Scientists
  5. Poster Exhibition and Competition (For students only)

participated in this event.

As part of the Poster Exhibition and Competition, our students showcased their project, entitled

to the A*STAR Scientists and the Nobel Prize Laureates.
They were awarded the joint Champion for their efforts.
The student’s research project can be found here:

Mr Tan Hoe Teck, the Research Mentor for our students, also attended the teachers’ programme and presented a conference paper on
“Using Performance Tasks as a form of alternative assessment in School of Science and Technology, Singapore”.

Both students and teacher benefitted tremendously from this programme, as it provided the opportunities for Cross-cultural understanding with our foreign delegates.
