Science Training and Research Programme (NJC) 2023

The NJC’s 22nd Science Training and Research (STaR) Symposium, to be held on Wednesday 15 February 2023.

Enabling students to develop their aptitude, thinking, skills and passion in research, the STaR Programme, through the community of teachers, mentors and partners, has played a pivotal role in nurturing the next generation of talented, inquisitive and articulate researchers. The annual STaR Symposium culminates 9 months of hard work, and recognises the efforts of research mentors, teachers and students.

SST participated in the STaR Symposium with the following teams: 

(1) Investigating the effectiveness of natural antimicrobial additives in gelling agents for plant tissue culture

(4) The Use of Satellite Imagery in The Management of Forest Fires

(5) Investigation on Effect of Glycerol on Strength of Bioplastics

(6) Investigation of the quality of image download from a NOAA satellite using a Quadrifilar Helix (QFH) antenna
