The GALESS (Global Alliance of Leading Edge Schools for Sustainability) TiltShift Challenge Life Sources Conference was held in Melbourne, Australia from October 14-17, 2024. This TiltShift Challenge aspires to contribute to awareness about complex questions relating to Life Sources, with a focus on Waterways, looking for sustainable and responsible responses from our young generation in each part of the world.
A total of 8 schools participated in this conference. Schools included St Leonard s College, Ivanhoe Grammar School, Bialik College, Camberwell Girls Grammar School, Camberwell Grammar School (Australia), Dillmann Gymnasium (Germany), Mahidol Wittayanusorn School (Thailand), and School of Science and Technology (Singapore).
SST is represented by 4 students and 2 staff, Ms. Loh Yue Yan Amelia and Mr. Tan Hoe Teck.
[L-R] Fu Cai Gui (S3-09), Bandra Paavana (S3-09), Tan Yu Ning (S3-07), and Nathan Quek Yi Kheng (S3-04) presented their research project on “Sustainable Solutions for Saltwater Intrusion in Singapore’s Pandan Waterway” to fellow delegates at the conference.
