IRAP @ Infineon 2018

The Industrial Research & Attachment Programme @ Infineon 2018 is a collaborative programme designed by Infineon Pte Ltd for SST students.

  • Gain an understanding of Infineon’s semiconductor business and the various applications of semiconductors.
  • Receive hands-on experience in basic programming, teamwork, project management and project presentation skills; and
  • Experience the “ins and outs” of a business environment, including appreciation for professional attitudes and Infineon’s business conduct guidelines.

The reflections from the students are as follows:

The internship gave me a lot of insight into the different departments that form a company as well as taught me about how to use complex micro-controllers for different applications (Benjamin).

The internship helped to give us a first person perspective of the workings of a successful company in the stem field (Jasper).

The internship was an eye opening experience to the behind the scene of chip manufacturing and also exposed me to more advanced used in the techonological world (Justin).

The attachment was able to provide insight into engineering companies and how they function, and allowed us to experience working days at infineon (Ing Kai).

The internship was an insightful programme that showed us how different skillsets are crucial to building a successful company (Navan).

Through this experience, I have learnt that for a company to be successful, there needs to be many people from different field of work (Meng Yuan).
